Happy Thanksgiving 2008

We went to our good friends from Nampa, Troy and Tara Christensen's house for Thanksgiving. They have moved to Roswell, New Mexico for a couple of years for Troy's work and are only 2.5 hours from us now! It was so nice to be with good friends that are like family for such a family holiday like Thanksgiving and fun to finally visit the alien town/Area 51 of New Mexico! They have a beautiful home and were perfect hosts to us. Thanks for the fun time, Christensens!

Tara and I went to Twilight after all the kids were in bed. It was also great to be back with my deal buddy and get some great deals online and not even fight the crowds in the morning!

So, what did I think of Twilight? It was good...but of course it's a book movie, so it did not do it the justice of how I had it in my head, but I thought it was well done with what they had to work with and of course they had to cut out a lot. I struggle with Edward, especially seeing him on Jay Leno....blech! He's just not what I had pictured. I know, you all think I'm weird, but he just doesn't do much for me. I thought Bella, Alice, James, Esme, and Carlisle were perfect casting. Jacob....yikes! He better do some bulking up before the next movies. And, I have to say Charlie, Rosalie, and her prom dress were disappointing to me also. But, I loved the baseball game, Edward driving in his Volvo, and the shots of the running in the woods and scenery. I'm so glad I saw it though and makes me want to read the books again! Thanks, Tara!
