Christmas Festivities begin...

This week was full of them:

decorating the tree (and re-decorating, and shifting as we see what Spencer will pull off)

Friday night was the 50th anniversary of the annual Carol of the Lights up at Tech. They light up 25,000 lights around campus, have performances, and sing alongs. It was beautiful, but COLD!
pics are from TTU~mine didn't turn out at all..
trying to get back into Hyrum's building to warm up!
Saturday morning was our ward Christmas breakfast, complete with Santa! Spencer didn't want a thing to do with him!

Hyrum surprised me with tickets to the Lubbock Symphony Holiday Pops Concert. It was so fun to go out, especially smack in the middle of finals~I just love him for it! The symphony was really good~I was very impressed.
Baby update: I have an appt. on Wednesday. I've actually been having quite a few contractions (braxton and real) but nothing consistent, which is good, because we need to get Hyrum through finals. I'll be interested to see if I'm progressing at all. Sleep is pretty minimal, it's just uncomfortable, but I guess this is preparing me for all the baby nights. Hyrum and I are still tag teaming with Spencer in nursery. He is getting better and will run to the nursery doors whenever we go into the building and will actually look at the nursery workers now without his signature hand over his face: He does this to anyone who he doesn't know that talks or says hi to him. Anyway, he's lasted for 10 minutes without crying with one of us leaving~we're making progress!
Today in primary they talked about the best gifts are the ones that you give with your heart. When we got home, I put Spencer down for a nap and told the kids that Mommy needed to lay down for a bit and put Lauren in charge. I heard the door creak open and a bunch of "is she awake yet?" whispers. They couldn't wait to show me that they had picked up the whole house, swept the floor, wiped the counters, picked up the bathroom even wiped the toothpaste up!, and cleaned their rooms. They were so excited and proud of themselves as they showed me each room and they just made my day! Later, when we were watching the 1st Presidency christmas devotional, they kept looking at me and saying, like we did for you mom! when they talked about serving others. Oh, I just love them~these are the moments that make it all worth it.

You've gotta love Christmas! You look so good, too and are the cutest pregnant lady. Good luck with the kids, give them all kisses for cleaning so much and tell Hyrum way to go on the concert. That sounds like fun.
