so. much. fun.
What else can I say?? Danielle & Rod watched the kids for 3 days so we could take a little trip up to the Big Apple!
Toys R Us~we kind of started missing the kids, so we had to get out of there.
Carmines: chicken parmigiana….yummmm. Hyrum loved it.
WICKED!! I loved it just as much as everyone told me I would.
St Pauls Cathedral across from Ground Zero:
singing guys on the subway. The lady behind them on their left was worried when Hyrum gave them $2.
She decided she needed to educate us on the ways of the NYC subway and told us, “you don’t have to give them that much.”
2 bucks??
We were laughing about that one. The guys were hilarious and deserved every dime.
Hyrum’s dream came true:
Yankee Stadium is gorgeous. And I never thought I could say that about a baseball stadium.
We got our messages up on the board!
Hyrum’s locker!
Statue of Liberty
and Ellis Island were so neat:
Had lunch at Mariella’s. It was really good and cheap.
That night we were able to go to the Manhatten temple. Such a refuge from that busy, bustling city. Right smack dab in the center of things. They were playing basketball in the church gym on the 2nd floor and the temple was on the 3rd floor. Amazing.
Of course, Carnegie deli afterward!
Saturday morning was probably one of my favorite things~ we rented some bikes and rode all around Central Park. It was a beautiful morning. Hyrum was hilarious: we had $16 cash left and he just showed it to a bunch of bike vendors until someone would take $16 for both bikes.
After we were all sweaty, we walked down 5th Avenue to all the fancy, fun shops on our way to catch a cab to the airport.
I want to go back. Happy late 10th Anniversary!! I love you, honey.
