We planned our way home from Montana so we could go through Martin's Cove. Such a long drive, but so worth it.

It was evening and we couldn't do the full trek up to the cove, but it was so neat seeing everything and witnessing the sacrifices that were made there:
There was such a special feeling there~truly sacred ground. Our prayer was that when we are faced with trials we will remember what was given here for the gospel's sake. Oh, and we love to remind our kids when they complain about what's for dinner about the handful of flour the children here received for a whole day...

On our way back, we got to stop at Independence Rock. The kids were sure this wasn't it though because it's not how it looked on Oregon Trail (the computer game)...time to put away the computer and pull out some good old fashioned history books, I think :)
