Smith Family Reunion 2009

We had our family reunion in Dallas~Rod and Danielle rented out a 9,000 sq ft house near Allen, TX for the week and we had a great time. Lots of pictures coming, hold on to your hats!

The only Dairy Queen in Texas we've been able to find that has cherry dilly bars is in little Merkel, Texas

so we stop there whenever we can. As you can see, they love Texas too. I love their decorations, but mostly the cherry dilly bars :)

the week before we came out, Hyrum got a call from Virginia Tech for a job interview and they wanted him to teach and give a presentation (no pressure!) as part of the process. We got in late Friday night and most of Saturday he spent preparing. Sunday morning he flew out~you may be hearing more about VA Tech~we'll keep you posted....

We found Landon a bumbo at the yard sale next door, so he and Luke were bumbo buddies...

the reunion just wouldn't be the same without the pool! It was a perfect escape from the heat and we all went in at least once a day, mostly 2 or 3 for the kids.

The kids all sleeping in the dining room on the last night. They called it the haunted dining hall because there were "spooky pictures of old people"on the wall.
