Kitchen Before

Okay, here are the beautiful before pictures. A brief history: this house was listed the weekend we came to Texas to find a house. The description said:
"this home needs everything--original owner and now deceased, has never had one update. Good bones, but dated deluxe. Now after saying that, seller will allow $15,000 to update; good street!!"
We laughed because we thought for sure it was just going to be full of smoke, pets, etc., and called it the "good bones" house and it was the last one we put on our list to look at. We walked in and I just knew this was our home~the bones were good and it was fun just had to think of possibilities, especially when we were given the cash to do it. So, the majority of our allowance has gone to the flooring, appliances, some windows, landscaping, and countertops throughout the home.

Melissa, I love the kitchen. What a fun project. It all turned out great. I wish I could come see it myself. We are planning a trip to Texas in the near futur. Luke served his mission in Fort Worth and he has been dying to show me the lone star state. When we do make it down there we will definitely come see the kitchen for ourselfs and of course you guys too!

SLOW down Martha! The kitchen looks like it came from a home designer magazine...KUDOS!!! You've outdone yourself again, but then again I wouldn't expect anything less from you :)!

You did such a beautiful job on your kitchen. It looks awesome. I wish I was as good at finding deals as you are. You have a real talent for that!

Just spent a few minutes looking through your before and after pics! Great work! We have a 1950's house that we are slowly remodeling, so I know how it is. Even more impressive knowing you have to live there and raise kids at the same time. That's why the kids and I are going to grandma's when the bathroom is going to be out of order. We're wimps.
