2nd Grade Musical & Cousin Eddie

The second grade performed their songs from movies for the PTA meeting on Thursday night, plus there was a gorgeous Texas sunset on our way out.

My thyroid levels are at 29, so I'm going in for my treatment this week for 2 days at the hospital. Basically, I'll just drink the radioactive iodine, and let it work through my body. I can't be around children or pregnant women at all for the 2 days, so we opted to do it at the hospital. Everything I bring has to be disposable (clothes, books, magazines, no cell phone, no laptop) so I'm basically going to hang out and be radioactive for a little while, lol! My Dad teases me that I'm going to be like Cousin Eddie :)

They'll do a body scan afterward to see if they got all the cancer cells, and if I'm clear, they'll be able to start me on thyroid medication. So, here's hoping that the first treatment is all it takes!

gosh your kids are so dang cute! Ethan was recently in a school musical, and I'm working on getting the video up! I am happy that your thyroid is up, but sad that you have to drink some nasty radio active drink and be away from your family. :( But you will be in our prayers!! WE LOVE YOU GIRL!

Hi, it's Angie Ostler again. Somehow when I first saw your blog, I missed the whole thyroid thing. Oh my goodness! You are such a trooper and have such a great attitude! I remember you always were such an upbeat, happy person. Good luck! My prayers are with you!
